چکیده:
من أهم مميزات الحضارة الاسلامية نشر المعارف والعلوم وبناء المكتبات والمدارس العلمية وترجمة العلوم الأخرىء واحتضان العلماء والأدباء على مر العصور. ولا جاء العصر العباسي سنة (۱۳۲ه-/۰٥۷م) وأصبحت بغداد عاصمة العالم الاسلاميء توجهت الأنظار الى نشر المعرقة وترجمة كتب الطب والتجوم والمندسة والمنطق وألفت كتب في الحديث والتاريخ. ولهذا خص المنصور (ت۸١۱ه) خزانة للمترجمات وغيرها من المخطوطات النادرة وفي عصر هارون الرشيد (ت۱۹۳ه) أسس بيت الحكمة ليكون مكتبة عامة مفتوحة أبوابها للدارسين وطلاب العلم. فهي مؤسسة ثقافية كبرى تطورت زمن المأمون (ت۲۱۸ه) حتى أصبحت مؤسسة علمية للدرس والبحث والتأليف والترجمة. وزودت بمختلف أنواع الكتب من المند والفرس وبلاد الروم» فترجمت كتب الحكمة والفلك والفلسفة من فارس بدأها ابن المقفعء ما حنین بن اسحاق فقد کان من آبرز الأطباء والمترجمين باللغات اليونانية والسيريانية والفارسيةء وبرع محمد بن موسی ال خوارزمي ولع في الرياضيات فأبتكر الفكر الرياضي» وارتادها جمع من العلماء والمفكرين والأطباء فأغدق عليهم العطاء كما خصص فيها موضع للنساخين.

It is a major cultural institution that
developed in the Mamoun era (d. 218 AH)
until it became a scientific institution for
study, research, writing, and translation. It
was supplied with various types of books
from India, Persia, and the Romans. Books
of wisdom, astronomy, and philosophy
were translated from Persia, which
appeared to be Ibn Al-Muqafa, while Hanin
bin Ishaq was among the most prominent
doctors and translators in Greek, Syriac,
and Persian languages, and Muhammad bin
Musa Al-Khwarizmi excelled. Muhammad
bin Musa al-Khwarizmi excelled, and he

mathematical thought, and was attended by
a group of scholars, thinkers and
physicians, so he bestowed on them the
tender, as was devoted to them a place for
copyists.
