چکیده:
انسان در زندگی اجتماعی خویش ناگزیر از رویارویی با عروسی و عزاست. چگونگی نمود این دو رسم اجتماعی در شعر شاعران بزرگ هر دوره، نشاندهندۀ کیفیت زندگی و جهانبینی مردمان آن روزگار است و جلوههای برجستهای از فرهنگ عامۀ ایشان را بهتصویر میکشد.عرفی شیرازی و کلیم کاشانی بهعنوان نمایندگان بزرگ و برجستة سبک اصفهانی (هندی) و عصر صفویه، در قالب تصویرآفرینیها و آرایهپردازیهای بدیع خویش، بخشهای بزرگی از زندگی اجتماعی و فرهنگ عامۀ مردم ایران و هند روزگار خویش را ثبت کردهاند و راه را بر مطالعات جامعهشناختی و مردمشناختی هموار ساختهاند.براساس آنچه از شعر عرفی و کلیم برمیآید، مردمان روزگار صفویه، بهویژه بزرگان و متمولان، شادخوار و عیشطلب بودهاند و بهمناسبتهای مختلف بهخصوص عروسی یا حضور شاه در میان مردم، محافل سرور و پایکوبی برگزار میکردهاند. آداب سوگواری، در هر ناحیه، هر آبوهوا و در میان مذاهب گوناگون متفاوت است؛ مثلاً برخی در غم مرگ یاران خود سیاه میپوشند و برخی سفید. سوگواری در ایران از گذشته تا امروز آداب و آیینهای خاص داشته است. این آیینها در طول زمان تغییر چندانی نکردهاند. البته ظهور مذهب تشیّع و ترویج فراگیر آن در عصر صفویه، موجب تحولی عظیم در ایام عزای ایرانیان شده است.آداب عروسی و سوگواری ایران و هند در شعر عرفی و کلیم بهزیبایی و با هنرمندی تمام نمود یافته است.
