The occurrence of the subject-to-subject raising structure in the Persian language has raised doubts on the part of most Iranian linguists. Only the researcher (1993 CE, 1996 CE, and 1385 AH) has claimed the possibility of the occurrence of the subject-to-subject raising structure and the impossibility of that of subject-to-object raising structure in this language by showing some differences in the syntactic behavior of the raised subject against the object moved into the clauses which contain raising propositions. The common view of those who deny the occurrence of subject-to-subject raising structure in Persian language is lack of agreement between the verb of the raising proposition and the raised subject. Some linguists also consider the impossibility of the occurrence of non-finite sentences in the Persian language as the basic reason for denial of this structure in this language. In this paper, the researcher has attempted to show that in contrast to the primary and general theoretical foundations of Generative Grammar, whereby the process of subject- to-subject raising is limited to the extraposition of this constituent from within a non-finite sentence, the syntactic theory allows for this process from within the finite sentences as well, and identifies the relevant behavioral differences among languages by the parameters of linguistic theory. Moreover, the disagreement between the subject and the verb in the raising structure of the Persian language will be explained.
